General Description

This course will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to prepare video and audio assets for inclusion in interactive media as well as those requried to perform basic editing functions for screen productions.

The course applies to those who usually work without supervision, either as employees of a production house or as freelancers to convert and edit audio and video into forms appropriate for streaming, downloading and/or digital media products.

Accreditation
This is a non-award course and a Statement of Attainment will be issued for nationally recognised units of competency successfully completed.

Delivery at all locations is subject to sufficient demand and resources.

Entry Requirements Domestic

Students must have access to a basic nonlinear editing program such as Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro or Da Vinci Resolve.

A Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.

Required Resources

Students will have 24/7 access to assessments and learning resources on CDU's online learning platform Learnline. Before using Learnline however, students will need to ensure that their computer has the correct setup.

Students must have access to a basic non-linear editing program such as Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro or Da Vinci Resolve. At a minimum, this may consist of a computer or table for editing. The appropriate professional kit and resources will be available on campus, but students may wish to purchase these additionally.

Estimated completion time: 1 year/s

This program is delivered over a period of 12 weeks part-time. The length of time to complete this qualification will depend on the location, study mode and/or units selected and will vary depending upon how long a student takes to reach the required competency level.

Student Visa holders must study internally full time
