This qualification covers competencies to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain systems and devices for measurement and recording of physical/chemical phenomenon and related process control.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Duration	1.5 years part-time 5 x 1-week blocks + 1 x 2-week block - blocks spaced approx. 4 - 6 weeks apart. *Duration may vary depending on how long a student takes to reach the required competency level

Start Date	May 25, 2026 - December 11, 2026 *Students will receive an individual call-up notification letter.
Attendance	Block delivery 5 x 1 week blocks 1 x 2 week block Blocks spaced approx 4 - 6 weeks apart. Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm *A course timetable/study plan will be provided on application for the course.

Accreditation
This is a current, nationally accredited qualification from the UEE Electrotechnology Training Package.

Locations and Study Mode

Entry Requirements Domestic

A Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Literacy (LLND) evaluation helps identify any areas where you may need additional support to help you achieve your goals.

To gain entry into the UEE31225 Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control, candidates are required to be:

Apprentices who have entered into a training contract with Australian Apprenticeships NT and have previously completed or partially completed another aligned UEE course.

hold a Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician, hold an A-Grade Electrical Licence.

hold restricted electrical licence endorsed instrumentation and control or,
Minimum studying 3rd year certificate III in electrotechnology

Required Resources

Students are issued with workbooks and handouts for the duration of the course.

Estimated completion time: 1.5 year/s

This program is delivered over a period of 1.5 years full-time. The length of time to complete this qualification will depend on the location, study mode and/or units selected and will vary depending upon how long a student takes to reach the required competency level.
