Unit Description

Creating and developing a business model is an essential entrepreneurial task in order to design a successful sustainable business. Although crucial in the start-up phase, business models need to be changed and adapted over time as business environments and markets are constantly changing. This unit explores the design of business models, their components. Students in this unit will gain the skills to critically examine business models and how to apply them.

Students should have completed ENT101 and ENT102 before enrolling into this unit.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Analyse an organisation to identify the critical elements of its business model.
2.	Analyse and review the elements of an existing business model to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
3.	Plan new business models and update existing models.
4.	Critically review the success of a business model deployment.
