This unit invites students to keep creative ideas fresh and open to new approaches. Develop strategies to experiment, play with new ways of making and performing art, and push boundaries within a framework where the courage to try something new and fail is rewarded for those who can reflect on and learn from the experiment.
Based on the discipline selected in previous years, students experiment with creative principles, ideas, theories, and techniques, testing their creative or performance practice and how they communicate concepts with an audience in one of the following: Music, Screen Media Arts, or Visual Arts.
Students provide constructive peer critique to improve their own and others' creative and performance work. Students must demonstrate safe, sustainable, inclusive, and ethical practices in their creative or performance practices.
