This unit examines how safety and quality can be led across a diverse workforce. The provision of healthcare by service providers is complex, involving large teams across a range of roles. Achieving safety and quality across large teams with different roles and backgrounds can be challenging. This unit will examine how workforce management influences health service delivery and how safety and quality, leadership and management teams can navigate team dynamics to build capacity and innovation. Using case-based scenarios and inquiry-based learning students will build knowledge and skills required to lead safety and quality in diverse teams.
This unit is only available to students enrolled in the USQHC1 Graduate Certificate of Safety and Quality in Health Service Delivery and SCNU01 Master of Clinical Nursing.
