| This unit explores and critically analyses leadership in health services including Nurse Practitioner care in public and private practice, framed by the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards along with Professional Standards and Codes. These studies are supported by professional contemporary leadership, management, and organisational theories. Students will examine and evaluate health services models provided by Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse, Endorsed Midwife, Registered Midwife and their influence on health consumer outcomes. These theoretical insights will foreground an appraisal of planning principles that inform leadership of health service development to provide effective nursing and midwifery care. |
