Unit Description

The process of contextualising knowledge and skills developed during study is an important aspect of professional development. Student apply their learning to practice. A placement experience can be carried out in a range of different contexts depending upon study background and can be both in a formal workplace setting or with placement within a professional context including artists, musicians, on-line or in different cultural cultural contexts.

Important Information

The placement will range from a minimum of 75 hours to a maximum of 120 hours, depending on course and/or industry requirements and availability.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Critically appraise the application of a knowledge-base and skills in a professional placement setting.
2.	Assess the various requirements expected for a chosen placement experience.
3.	Critically reflect on skills and knowledge required for the placement experience and strategies for developing skills to meet requirements.
4.	Identify, execute and evaluate workplans to produce relevant outputs on placement experience.
