Unit Catalogue

In order to provide a definitive diagnosis of many diseases, a histological assessment is required. In this unit students will develop knowledge and practical skills in a broad array of histological techniques to include routine, specialised, non-complex, and complex, extending their training to include validation and troubleshooting. Students will extend their knowledge of normal histology to encompass disease aetiology, pathology, pathophysiology, correlating clinical findings with laboratory investigations to assess their impact on human health and disease outcomes.
