| This unit will examine the safe, judicious, and sustainable use of medicines and the responsibility of the pharmacist in ensuring the quality use of medicines. You will explore the principles, importance, and application of the National Medicines Policy, the Medication Safety Standards of the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards, and the Quality Care Pharmacy Program. As a pharmacists you will learn to identify, address and support quality and safe medication usage across the continuum of care. Skills to critically evaluate the research to promote the quality use of medicines for now and in the future will be developed. |
