This is a Special Unit under the NCP Mobility Program. This program involves a short-term study in the Philippines at De La Salle University (DLSU) for the Accounting and Business students at Charles Darwin University (CDU) and accompanied by CDU Accounting Academic/NCP Philippines Coordinator. The program comprises 2 weeks (14 days) of intensive study in the Finance System and Poverty Alleviation in the Philippines. This program is offered by Ramon V. Del Rosario College of Business of DLSU for foreign visiting students. The program is a joint effort of the Department of Financial Management and the Department of Accountancy. In the program, students will gain an understanding of the Philippines' finance system and poverty alleviation efforts. It discusses various government and private programs and initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty in the Philippines using finance and accounting. Additionally, students will gain exposure to government and private institutions, field exposures, and videos that complement the lectures with real-life scenarios that aid in alleviating poverty on some level. A case presentation is a final requirement for the program that requires students to defend their arguments in front of a panel of experts to assess their critical thinking abilities and learning.

This unit is not available for online enrolment. Students wishing to enrol must be approved by NCP Philippines Coordinator - Raul David, as part of the NCP Mobility Program Funding Agreement. To enrol, complete the Special Enrolment form accessed via the eForms tile through CDU Portal.
