Do you want to develop your musical skills as a singer or instrumentalist?
This unit offers all CDU students the opportunity to study a musical instrument. Music students can choose this unit to study a second instrument and expand their repertoire. Students from other disciplines outside Music can take this unit to develop, maintain and enhance their pre-existing musicianship skills.
Students develop technical and musical ability on one instrument, selecting from piano, guitar, bass, drums or voice. Students learn instrumental or vocal techniques with reference to anatomy, physiology and efficient body use in order to enable students to practice and perform in a safe and sustainable manner. Performance opportunities are embedded in the unit to develop each student's creative agility as performers and stagecraft skills to engage with their audience.
