The aim of the unit is to enable students to make an innovative contribution to understanding of learning in the student's professional field and disciplinary domain. Students prepare a proposal for a research-based inquiry project which implements a research design. This design is negotiated with a research advisor and builds on previous units in the Master's program. The proposal involves synthesis of the extended literature review, design of a research project with relevant methodology and indication of understanding of ethical protocols to address data collection. This unit is a precursor to EMG825 where a complete thesis is finalised.
