Unit Description

This unit focuses on the practical application of knowledge and skills acquired from previous units in the engineering course, with the primary objective of executing an engineering project tailored for engineering associates. The project ensures that the students can implement and practise their prior learning. Central to this unit is the implementation of the life cycle analysis and the Conceive, Design, Implement, and Operate (CDIO) framework for engineering design. The unit emphasises the importance of taking a design brief and transforming it into a functional outcome that meets the client's expectations.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Plan and compose reports on design activities to both peers and customers
2.	Identify, discuss and apply the principles of the code of ethics
3.	Describe and use the design cycle
4.	Employ standards and systematic design procedures
5.	Produce effective oral presentation, written project and analytical reports to convey ideas and principles to the stakeholders.
