Unit Description

To reshape the electrical signals into our desired form and amplify voices through phones or sounds through speakers, an in-depth understanding of electronic devices and their connection to semiconductor physics is required. Throughout this unit, we will develop understanding, apply knowledge and critically analyse electronic components including diodes and transistors (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors (MOSFETs) and Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJTs)) to design circuits that achieve the above-mentioned goal.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Analyse and design analogue circuits to reshape and/or amplify electrical signals.
2.	Identify and solve problems related to electronic circuit
3.	Demonstrate practical skills necessary for working in a laboratory setting that ensures sustainability, safety and appropriate usage of electrical and electronic equipment.
4.	Apply communication techniques to effectively convey ideas and principles to a range of stakeholders
