This unit enables students to develop a sound knowledge of various learning theories and teaching principles applicable to the education of healthcare professionals. Students will engage with learning theory as they build the skills required to identify the needs of the learner and teaching strategies that are contextually aligned. The unit will critically examine approaches to assessment and evaluation. This unit is aimed at healthcare professionals who engage in education in all contexts using a framework of inquiry-based learning to promote critical thinking and foster engagement in life long professional development.
This unit is only available to students enrolled in the UCLED1 Graduate Certificate of Clinical Education and SCNU01 Master of Clinical Nursing.
