Unit Description

Building upon the foundation from HEA543 (Learning and Theory in Clinical Education), this unit empowers learners to apply learning and design principles within the professional context. Students will further enhance their knowledge by examining evidence-based best practices in healthcare education. The unit provides scaffolding for students to create and develop educational programs that promote safe, person-centered care in their professional settings.

Important Information

This unit is only available to students enrolled in the UCLED1 Graduate Certificate of Clinical Education and SCNU01 Master of Clinical Nursing.

1.	Justify chosen pedagogy and learning design that underpins the design and delivery of an education program
2.	Scope educational requirements and propose strategies to support learning in the professional environment
3.	Conceptually map and evaluate new technology and innovation to assess their suitability and reliability within the health education programs.
4.	Adapt and navigate the challenges of delivery of education within the professional environment
5.	Design and develop an educational program that addresses the needs of the professional environment.
