Unit Description

This capstone unit delves into the multifaceted realms of humanities, social sciences, policy, creative arts, and design within diverse social and cultural environments. Through immersive and sustained intercultural engagement, students will cultivate sophisticated self-awareness, gaining nuanced insights into the socio-cultural dynamics that shape their experiences. They will develop advanced skills in fostering generative and productive interactions with individuals from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, equipping them to navigate complex multicultural contexts effectively and synthesise their learning into a culminating capstone project.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Identify, define, and analyse the complexities of intercultural interaction contexts.
2.	Critically evaluate and apply theories and practices of intercultural communication and negotiation.
3.	Demonstrate advanced skills in effective intercultural communication and negotiation across various situations and mediums.
4.	Collaborate effectively within teams in a generative intercultural context
5.	Apply communication and negotiation skills in governmental, non-governmental, or community settings.
