This unit is the subsequent component of the Law Honours thesis sequence. Students are required to continuously develop and complete the 18,000-20,000 word research thesis. The research topic is proposed by the student and approved by both their supervisor and the course coordinator. The submitted thesis must demonstrate advanced legal research, analysis, and writing skills, reflecting a comprehensive examination of the approved topic.
This unit is for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Laws Honours and completing their course part-time. Students enrol in this 20cp unit after completing LWZ712 - Law Honours Research Thesis B to meet the 40cp research unit component, and submit their thesis at the end of the second semester.
Only students enrolled in the the Bachelor of Laws Honours (VLAWH2) are eligible to enrol in this unit. Online enrolment is not available. Students should prepare a study plan in conjunction with the Course Coordinator and Supervisor as part of their research project planning and can then enrol by submitting a Special Enrolment through eForms.
