The unit introduces the student to the development and implementation of the Nurse Practitioner role nationally and internationally. The legislation and professional governance related to the practice of Nurse Practitioner in Australia will be explored. Additionally, the principles of Primary Health Care, culturally safe care, health care for First Nations People, and special populations will be studied.
