Registered Nurses provide care for older people across home, community, and residential aged care settings. This unit promotes students to advance their clinical reasoning and leadership to enhance quality of life through critical evaluation and synthesis of evidence-informed care. You will explore and critique current research on complex acute and chronic conditions affecting older adults and their families. Using an integrated health and person-family centred care model, you will assess, implement, and evaluate best practices in aged care while promoting dignity in health care decisions. Through inquiry-based learning and case studies, as a nurse, you will advance your reflective practice and lifelong learning, creating a lasting and meaningful impact on the care of older adults and the communities you practise.
