This unit focuses on patient safety and person-centred nursing care for patients with conditions that affect the neurological system. The unit provides the nurse with an extension of neurology anatomy and physiology with content that focuses on common neurological conditions and the contemporary nursing care guided by evidence. The unit utilises inquiry-based learning and case studies to create a foundation on which patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions are assessed and their individual needs prioritised and managed.
This unit is only available to students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate of Medical Nursing (UMEDN1) and Master of Clinical Nursing (SCNU01)
