Unit Description

This unit offers students an opportunity to build on previous studies in their area of practice. Extending on NUR560 Evidence in Health Care you will be supported to translate research and evidence into practice, addressing an identified area of need. This unit builds on the topic and project proposal developed in NUR560 Evidence in Healthcare. Within this unit, you will develop the resources that are required to implement the project including strategies to engage key stakeholders, implementation and communication plans. You will use the project proposal developed in NUR560 to implement your project.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Justify the translation of research and evidence into effective implementation strategies that will demonstrate positive impact to health care service delivery.
2.	Appraise and assess the resources required to commence and implement the identified project.
3.	Critically evaluate the current literature relevant to practice and communicate and justify the project to stakeholders.
4.	Negotiate with key stakeholders to create engagement and support for the project across the implementation process.
5.	Critically reflect on the application of research and evidence in the context of the student's professional environment through project implementation.
