Unit Description

In this unit, students complete a 30-day work-based practicum ( individually or in pairs) under the supervision of a qualified nutrition professional. As part of the placement, students will undertake a project demonstrating their understanding of the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nutrition programs. Placement preparation will include: ethical practice; professional self-reflection and learning; project management cycle; communication problem-solving; and cultural safety in a range of nutrition practice contexts. All students need to submit pre-placement documentation prior to the commencement of the semester in order to undertake their project and successfully complete the unit.
