Unit Description

In this unit you will use your research skills and knowledge of the "quality use of medicines" to address a real-life quality use of medicines problem. Your work-integrated learning site will allow you the opportunity to identify and undertake a research project relating to a "quality use of medicines" issue and it's impact. Your research plan will be contextualised to your workplace, so that you can provide evidence-based recommendations to address the issue and monitor the outcomes of the intervention.

You will be required to complete 15 days of professional placement at an approved site as part of this unit.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Design and execute a quality use of medicine research project
2.	Effectively communicate research outcomes, both orally and written, to diverse audiences.
3.	Investigate opportunities for learning at a workplace and develop professional goals that demonstrate awareness of specific roles and responsibilities to effectively participate in work activities.
4.	Develop links between theory and workplace skills through observation and participation.
5.	Reflect critically on workplace practices and performance feedback to identify professional development learning opportunities.
