Could your journey as an aspiring educator inspire and support the learning and development of young people in a rapidly evolving world?
This unit is designed for aspiring educators who are curious about teaching in schools and how they can make a difference in the learning and lives of young people. It explores the personal qualities and skills that shape educators, along with the social and community factors that shape learning. Through engaging activities, discussions, and reflections, students will explore their own motivations, strengths and potential to inspire and support the learning of others, and how that learning impacts local communities. They will also learn what it means to be an educator in a rapidly changing global and local context, including the expectations, ethical considerations, and reflective practices necessary for teaching.
