Students must have completed 80 credit points of their master program (80 credit points) before undertaking this placement unit.

This unit prepares you for professional practice in your field of study. It provides the opportunity to apply skills and knowledge developed in your academic course. You will document and reflect on work activities and relate them to the discipline specific knowledge areas, competency standards and/or job roles of your field of study, including sustainability, ethics and capacity for lifelong learning. The professional experience activity would normally be completed on site, in an office or online, under the supervision of a professional in your field of study.

Completion of this unit requires an equivalent of 300 hours of professional experience related activity.

There is no graded performance of the professional experience component of this unit. Assessment items must meet a minimum threshold standard instead, satisfying the professional accreditation requirements of the field of study. Assessment items are therefore hurdle requirements.
