Cyber Security is an essential part of organisations. The primary focus of this unit is to apply up-to-date practices to prevent cyber-attacks. All major topics in cyber security are covered in this unit. Students will need to conduct research, synthesise, apply various principles of cyber security, and engage in industry-inspired projects. Students have to apply principles of asset security and risk management, network security, identity and access management, and software security. Students will also develop test metrics and apply different tools for the testing of software. Ethics and privacy concerns will also be covered.
