Unit Description

In this unit students will develop the skills to design and deliver evidencebased psychological interventions. Students will apply skills to deliver cognitive-behavioural therapies for common psychological disorders across the lifespan. An emphasis is placed on skill acquisition through active learning (observation, modelling, role play, feedback). Students will develop knowledge and skills to apply a range of cognitive and behavioural intervention techniques with diverse client populations.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Apply cognitive-behavioural therapy skills in psychological practice.
2.	Develop a conceptualization of the presenting problem to inform the most appropriate cognitive behavioural therapy intervention.
3.	Conceptualise the presenting problem and communicate a cognitive behavioural therapy rationale to the client.
4.	Apply high level professional and interpersonal skills in professional practice.
