Unit Catalogue

In this unit students will undertake a work integrated learning placement in the Wellness Centre at Charles Darwin University. This is the second unit of the students' internal placement where they will focus on the provision of evidence-based psychological assessment and interventions across the lifespan.
Students will undertake a minimum of 150 hours professional practice and include a minimum of 65 hours of direct client contact, delivering evidence-based psychological assessment and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to clients presenting with a range of common psychological disorders (eg: anxiety and depression). Students will also participate in a series of clinical practice workshops intended to scaffold their clinical work and prepare them for future externships.
