Unit Description

You will complete your research project under the direction of your research supervisor/s. During this unit you will be synthesising your results with the literature, identifying strengths and limitations, and thinking through the implications of your research outcomes and the real-world impacts. You will also be contemplating future directions for the area in focus. Your final goal is to prepare a written manuscript for submission to a high-quality peer-reviewed journal. This goal will be in-focus throughout this unit and you will learn about the submission process and procedures. This unit is completed as part of a nested sequence with PSY810 and PSY811.

Important Information

The Sydney offering is only available to students who have been given/achieved 80 credit points for the MCP first year. Online enrolment is not available for the Semester 2 Sydney offering. To enrol, complete the Special Enrolment form accessed via the eForms tile through CDU Portal.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Demonstrate ability to integrate new and recent findings with prior research and extrapolate future implications.
2.	Clearly and concisely communicate implications of key results as they relate to real-world scenarios/applications/impacts.
3.	Evaluate and appraise the statistical meaning and relevance of research results within the context of the research aims and questions.
4.	Construct a high-quality research article suitable for publication and dissemination to a wider audience.
