Unit Description

This unit is undertaken under the guidance of an academic supervisor through utilising teaching materials to conduct research that contributes to the delivery of the final Honours Thesis. The unit is part of the Honours Thesis unit sequence completed over two semesters (or equivalent), covering a total of 60 credit points.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Develop skills in locating and retrieving digital and non-digital sources to evaluate their reliability and relevance.
2.	Apply logical and critical thinking skills to solve research problems.
3.	Review theoretical knowledge and technical skills relevant to the chosen field of research.
4.	Identify and implement appropriate methods to perform analyses.
5.	Apply communication techniques to convey scientific and technical information via written or spoken texts.
6.	Critically reflect on ethical, cultural and other societal considerations applicable to a field of research.
7.	Develop skills in applying initiative, independence, and responsibility to conduct research.
