Unit Description

This repeatable unit enables students to develop discipline-specific professional skills and to establish and develop industry connections by undertaking a placement working in an area of applied science. It allows students to apply their scientific knowledge and skills within the context of a work-place environment, and assists them to develop the skills needed to operate as professional scientists.

This unit is a repeatable version of SID300.

Important Information

Online enrolment is unavailable for this unit due to placement requirements. Students are required to discuss placement options with the lecturer at least 2 weeks before the start of the semester so suitable placement options can be arranged. To enrol, Special Enrolment is required through eForms.

Assessment items are based on technical aspects of work undertaken and professional practices during the placement.
