Unit Description

This unit focusses on introducing and exploring the ideas you will research and write about in the ZIP012 Communicating Diversity and Perspectives at University. Throughout this unit, you will continue to develop the skills and knowledge to confidently contribute to and engage with critical thinking, discussing new ideas about First Nations issues related to your proposed area of study at university. These issues will be considered from the point of view of First Nations knowledge and articulated through these knowledge frameworks to broaden understandings and experience, and to help shape and enrich our responses to important factors in different areas of study and work, for example Education and Health.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Explore and reflect on fundamental concepts and issues relating to key First Nations issues in your chosen field/ topic.
2.	Identify, access, and effectively utilise relevant and credible research considered from diverse cultural perspectives.
3.	Organise and present a convincing oral presentation that considers a variety of perspectives regarding First Nations issues relating to your chosen area of study.
4.	Communicate with others using a range of technologies.
5.	Build knowledge, awareness, and confidence in your ability to engage with university study and feel a sense of belonging in the university and professional environment
