Unit Description

Would you like to try your hand at printmaking?

In this unit, you investigate different approaches to printmaking, including monotype, relief, and intaglio printmaking processes and techniques.

Embrace the chance to engage hands-on with traditional and innovative practices, while immersing yourself in the material, historical and contemporary conditions that shape printmaking today.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Identify fundamental printing, printmaking and publishing techniques.
2.	Apply and experiment with materials and techniques in the creation of printed works, using safe and sustainable practices.
3.	Recognise the cultural, historical and contemporary contexts of printmaking.
4.	Implement practical and conceptual approaches to printmaking to communicate ideas.
5.	Examine, discuss and revise creative work in response to feedback.
