Unit Description

This unit is for an in-country intensive (Indonesian or Greek). In this unit, you will enhance the ability to apply your language skills appropriately (building on your current language proficiency level) within the social and cultural context of the country of your target language. More generally, you will refine your understanding of the country's culture and society and develop a greater intercultural sensitivity through daily immersion in local social relations in-country for three (3) to four (4) weeks.

The teaching approach is varied, including traditional classroom learning and educational visits to historical and cultural sites. However, the experience of fully immersing yourself in contemporary (Indonesia or Greece) life and culture will give you the most benefit from the program.
