The aim of this unit is to help you develop the necessary academic and communication skills for successful postgraduate studies at CDU. including a critical understanding of the responsibilities and expectations of postgraduate level studies. It will help you develop a postgraduate 'mind set' with appropriate attitudes and behaviors towards studying, fellow students and the wider academic community Postgraduate studies places a higher level of demand on the quality of your thinking, the standard of your work and the effectiveness of your communication.
You will develop advanced academic knowledge, skills and communication in researching and reporting on complex topics and issues appropriate to postgraduate level studies. You will investigate, critically analyze, develop sustainable arguments and generate solutions to complex issues. You will develop your skills in working independently as well as collaboratively and with welldeveloped judgements through the application of the advanced academic knowledge and skills to the academic enquiry of complex business and economics issues.
