Unit Description

This unit provides students with the knowledge and skill to develop a proposal for a scientific research project. Students will conduct a literature review, develop the design of a research study, and learn about statistical analysis.

1.	Critically appraise literature to identify factors influencing athletic performance in specific sport.
2.	Develop a strategy to enhance athletic performance and design a research project to assess the efficacy of their strategy.
3.	Discuss the structure of scientific research and statistical methods within the field of strength and conditioning.
4.	Develop a scientific research project that evaluates the acute and chronic effect of an intervention on athletic performance.
