This course is an introduction to physics for students with minimal prior exposure to the subject and is designed for students wishing to major in disciplines other than physics. The emphasis is upon understanding concepts of physics such as gravity, energy, modern physics as they apply to a number of real world situations, such as atmospheric physics, tides, energy transfer by EM radiation, biophysics, radioactive dating etc. This unit is reliant on on-line materials including electronic submission of assessment items. Students must have access to a reliable high-speed broadband connection and a scanner.
