This extended practicum unit offers pre-service teachers the opportunity to integrate core and discipline-specific knowledge with quality pedagogical practice. A central focus of this postgraduate unit is on planning and teaching. Pre-service teachers will identify the measurable improvement of learning and assessment of student learners with explicit investigation of Teaching Performance Assessment (TPA). Pre-service teachers will also demonstrate sound linkages between research policy and quality pedagogical practice. This unit has associated professional experience of 30 days that is spent in an educational setting. Pre-service teachers are expected to undertake specific assessable activities, including personal reflection, informed teaching practice and demonstrate their readiness to teach.
