In this unit students will engage in advanced conceptual and practical approaches to the assessment and management of different kinds of cultural sites, ie. European, Macassan, ancestral Indigenous 'Dreaming' tracks, burial, art, stone arrangement and archaeological. They will gain comprehensive knowledge of the legislation in this field, and of the organisations and groups who are responsible for preserving and protecting such sites. Students will also develop skills in applying the knowledge gained in the mapping, documentation and development of recommendations in relation to the management of important sites.
