This unit is designed to prepare students to develop their skills in psychological interventions including critical evaluation, and application, of principles, models and skills related to; clinical interviewing, psychotherapy, techniques for establishing and maintaining collaborative therapeutic relationships, reflexive and responsive cultural practice, working with diverse clinical populations, and working in interprofessional teams dealing with complex client groups. This unit will examine Cognitive Behaviour Therapies and other empirically validated interventions for common psychological disorders across the lifespan.
