Unit Catalogue

This postgraduate unit prepares pre-service teachers to teach Languages Other Than English (LOTE) in senior secondary. Pre-service teachers will critically evaluate pedagogical approaches to support their senior school students in participating in multilingual and multicultural contexts. This unit will enable pre-service teachers to critically review the contemporary issues in LOTE pedagogy and incorporate their research skills in designing innovative programs for 'out of the box' situations. Pre-service teachers will critically engage their knowledge about language, culture, and language learning in teaching within diverse and inclusive classrooms.
