This is the final applied business research module in the Graduate Certificate of Business Research and Advanced Business Research specialisation. Collectively these modules provide the knowledge and practical in-depth experience required for conducting more advanced business research, as well as a pathway to higher degree by research. In this module students will further develop and apply their research and writing skills in the production of an academic business research thesis proposal. They will be guided in the task of write a thesis proposal for their chosen business research area. Students will also gain further insights to the numerous practical considerations of undertaking a higher degree by research (HDR) via seminars and presentations by PhD candidates and supervisors. Students will deepen their knowledge of HDR definitions, thesis structure and expectations, managing supervisor relationships and the lengthy HDR research process, as well as thesis guidelines and marking criteria.
