All organisations face numerous sustainability challenges which may also represent opportunities. As such, owners, senior managers and executives must integrate sustainability principles when developing new ventures. This requires detailed knowledge of systems and processes that support creativity, critical thinking and risk minimisation. This unit introduces students to methods of developing sustainable ventures through engaging in innovation and entrepreneurial processes. These include evaluating market opportunities; understanding stakeholder needs; applying sustainable business models; and resource allocation. Through experiential learning, students will apply key theories and frameworks and develop their individual entrepreneurial skills.
