Unit Description

This unit introduces students to key art and design principles and techniques, such as composition elements and using creative design processes to communicate concepts. Students develop skills and knowledge to explore and creatively apply design processes, promote creative thinking techniques, experimentation and reflection in order to evaluate ideas and situations in new ways and refine approaches.

Unit Learning Outcomes

1.	Identify and apply art and design principles to communicate concepts.
2.	Apply creative thinking techniques to generate a range of ideas and options.
3.	Utilise experimentation to explore and challenge a range of different ideas.
4.	Critically analyse ideas and refine approaches.
5.	Examine, revise and refine work in response to feedback.
6.	Critically evaluate and critique one's own work and provide others with constructive criticism.
