Unit Catalogue

This unit provides an advanced foundation for understanding contemporary Indigenous knowledge perspectives, as these continue to emerge in intercultural relations and processes. Students will engage with works by Australian and international thinkers and practitioners who take into account Indigenous intellectual traditions, experiences and practices for understanding and researching Indigenous issues and society. Students will be challenged to move beyond binary 'black vs white' frameworks for understanding cultural and social formations, by exploring intercultural forces at play in shared past and present histories and places.
