Indigenous researchers draw upon their rich heritage and philosophy to guide research that occurs in their cultural context. In this unit, students will follow Indigenous principles of knowledge creation, negotiation and exchange to describe the context of research processes in their community. They will identify, describe and analyse the guiding principles of their own research practice and explore strategies for articulating their research work to others in appropriate and culturally respectful ways.
Participation in this unit will require attendance at a series of three five day workshops during the semester with access to online resources and face to face or online support sessions in the intervening weeks.
