This unit is for students enrolled in the First Nations Pre-Law Program.
The First Nations Pre-Law Program runs as a four-week long intensive for students who are considering applying for an undergraduate law degree. Students will undertake learning experiences needed for successful participation in a law degree by exploring the foundational skills, knowledge and relationships needed to study law. This unit will focus on Legal Research and Writing, two key skill areas that underpin the specific content students learn during their degree. Students are provided with an overview of the fundamental skills of legal research, reading cases and legislation, statutory interpretation and academic writing skills.
