All organisations operate in complex and competitive environments which present managers with many challenges. Effective management is prerequisite to successful organisational operation. This unit introduces students to the key principles of management that are essential to successful organisations. Students will consider a variety of perspectives and tools that executives can adopt to overcome common managerial challenges. They will critically apply and evaluate core management theories, while reflecting on their own competencies.
