| This foundation unit introduces students to the profession of pharmacy and the role of the pharmacist. Students will be introduced to pharmacy's contribution to the Australian health care system, the expanding scopes of professional practice, and learn about the ethical and professional standards and national policy frameworks in which the profession operates. They will be prepared for the pharmacy profession by completing mental health first aid training, the provision of pharmacy and pharmacist only medicines, communication for practice, First Nation's culture and their influence on pharmacy practice, and pharmaceutical calculations. |
